Endoskopische Reposition einer pylorogastrischen Invagination beim Hund

A 7 month old West Highland White Terrier was presented with anorexia and vomitus since 4 days. On physical examination the dog was depressed, febrile and showed abdominal pain. During abdominal ultrasonographic examination a pylorogastric intussusception was suspected and this was confirmed subsequently by gastroscopy. The invaginated pylorus could be repositioned without complications using the endoscope. The dog recovered completely and without recurrence. A pylorogastric intussusception is a rarely diagnosed cause of an acute abdomen that can be resolved with a minimal invasive procedure.

Endoskopische Reposition einer pylorogastrischen Invagination beim HundEine 7 Monate alte West Highland Terrier Hündin wurde mit Anorexie und Vomitus seit 4 Tagen vorgestellt. Klinisch lagen ein gestörtes Allgemeinbefinden, Fieber und ein schmerzhaftes Abdomen vor. Bei der weiterführenden Ultraschalluntersuchung konnte im Magen eine konzentrische Struktur dargestellt werden, verdächtig für eine pylorogastrische Invagination. Diese Verdachtsdiagnose wurde im Anschluss endoskopisch bestätigt. Während der Spiegelung konnte die Invagination mittels Endoskop komplikationslos reponiert werden. Die Hündin erholte sich vollständig und blieb rezidivfrei. Die pylorogastrische Invagination ist eine selten diagnostizierte Ursache eines akuten Abdomens, welche auf minimal invasive Art behoben werden kann.
