The behavior of 100 healthy dogs and 100 healthy cats was analysed during their physical examination from “head to tail”. A complete physical examination was possible without restraint in 70 % of the dogs and 76 % of the cats. Only a partial examination was possible in 24 % of the dogs and 20 % of the cats. The physical examination could not be correctly performed in 6 % of the dogs and 4 % of the cats. 16 % of the dogs and 13 % of the cats showed aggressive or dangerous behavior. Male dogs were more frequently aggressive than bitches (p = 0.01).

Während einer klinischen Untersuchung von „Kopf bis Schwanz“ wurde das Verhalten von je 100 gesunden Hunden und Katzen untersucht. Ein vollständiger klinischer Untersuch ohne Zwangsmassnahmen war bei 70 % aller Hunde und 76 % aller Katzen möglich. Nur teilweise untersuchen liessen sich 24 % der Hunde und 20 % der Katzen, während bei 6 % der Hunde und 4 % der Katzen die klinische Untersuchung nicht korrekt durchgeführt werden konnte. 16 % aller Hunde und 13 % aller Katzen zeigten ein aggressives und gefährliches Verhalten, wobei Rüden aggressiver waren als Hündinnen (P = 0.01).

Le comportement de 100 chiens et 100 chats en bonne santé a été analysé au cours de leur examen physique «de la tête à la queue». L’examen physique complet a été possible sans contention majeure chez 70 % des chiens et 76 % des chats présentés. Il a été partiellement possible chez 24 % des chiens et 20 % des chats. Il n’a pas pu être réalisé dans les règles de l’art chez 6 % des chiens et 4 % des chats. 16 % des chiens et 13 % des chats ont présenté un comportement agressif ou dangereux. Chez les chiens l’agressivité était plus fréquente chez les mâles que chez les chiennes (p = 0.01).

È stato esaminato il comportamento di 100 cani e gatti sani durante una visita clinica dalla “testa alla coda”. Una visita completa senza misure coercitive è stata possibile nel 70 % dei cani e nel 76 % dei gatti. Solo il 24 % dei cani e il 20 % dei gatti si sono lasciati esaminare parzialmente mentre nel 6 % dei cani e nel 4 % dei gatti l’esame clinico non è potuto avvenire correttamente. Il 16 % tra tutti i cani e il 13 % di tutti i gatti hanno mostrato un comportamento aggressivo e pericoloso in particolare i cani maschi si sono dimostrati più aggressivi delle cagne (P = 0.01).
